Captions: Verso: This is Gina Lollobrigida in Venice. The pride of Italy seems to be nowadays that beautiful star of the screen whose name is Gina Lollobrigida. 'National Gina' they call her, and that?s quite a future. When she came to Venice accompanied by her husband, Mr. Mirko Skofic, she found to meet her such a huge crowd of admirers that she felt quite scared about it. The day after her arrival when she showed herself at the Lido, the police had to use mangles and?gallantry. They say there was then an old Englishman with her [his] wife taking a walk and as he saw that mess he was heard to hurry the old woman "Come dear, let?s go back to the Hotel, they?re lynching someone." That?s `Lollo? you see. And now see how happy she was to be in Venice. She was in St. Mark Square to meet pigeons; she had long trips on gondolas throughout the lagoon, and she thought to be able to drive motorboats and always, that?s sure, she had a long long procession of people who just wanted to see her, to look at her, to hear her voice. But she is a simple, happy young girl who has the only fault to be perhaps too beautiful.Markings:Verso: This is Gina Lollobrigida in Venice.
