Captions: Verso: Harold Flournoy, 38, sleeps in his tent by the bank of the Mississippi River. Flournoy worked in the printing business, began using crack cocaine and lost everything. He got off drugs and back on track after taking some technical-training courses, but found only temporary jobs as a security guard and assistant building manager. Then he fell back into drug use. "My dad was from Missouri and worked on the barges of the Mississippi River when we were small children, until he got a job as a janitor at the University of Minnesota. I like it out here in nature because I'm not around drugs. I won't go to shelters because they're not safe. I'm happy when I'm out here. I don't care about the harsh weather. It's going to be hard for me to go back and adjust to society."Markings:Verso: Harold Flournoy, 38, sleeps in his tent by the bank of the Mississippi River.
