BARTHOLOMEW’S HOSPITAL, LONDON, STAGES PAGEANT OF ITS / 800 YEARS OF HISTORY. / St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, 823 years old, is staging / a pageant of its historynin [sic.] the old Priory Church of St. / Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, London, as part of the / commemoration of its second foundation 400 years ago. The / King and Queen will be present. The hospital was founded by / Rahere, Henry I’s court jester, who turned monk, in 1123, / when it was known as Bartholomew’s Priory.
